First People Solutions are offering exciting entry level opportunities within our Glasgow Office to individuals who wish to start their careers in recruitment.

We are currently looking for a number of ambitious, motivated Graduates, who have a flair for sales and a desire to join an established market leader and play a key role in our continued business growth.

You will be based in our Head Office in St.Vincent Place, Glasgow and will enjoy a full and structured training programme which will involve sales techniques, solution selling, and business development.

You will be given the opportunity to learn about every part of the recruitment function across a wide range of technical, construction and engineering industry sectors.

Your role will involve identifying and attracting new clients through a combination of following warm leads and generating your own sales leads, developing relationships with clients and sourcing quality candidates.

Role of a Recruitment Consultant:

You will be working as part of an established and recognised team within the Scottish Recruitment industry who are responsible for the placement of staff in both permanent and temporary contracts. With full support and mentoring from experienced members of the team you will be tasked with the following:

  • Calling existing candidates
  • Calling new candidates
  • Key skill searching on job boards
  • Advertising
  • Negotiation
  • Interviewing Candidates
  • Database input
  • Speaking and meeting with Clients
  • General Administrative duties
  • Lead generating for Business development
  • Introduction to sales calls and new business development
  • Meeting targets

The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level and have some sales and/or customer services experience. Recruitment is an extremely fast paced & pressurised environment, therefore we are looking for people who would possess the following skills:
