First People Solutions are recruiting a Project Manager to work at Our Clients State of the Art Edinburgh Site. The role is to support the effective design, management and control of a range of projects within using a formal and appropriate project management methodology. This includes the design and maintenance of project plans, management of issues, risks, resources and finances. The post holder will be responsible for project managing and co-ordinating key internal and external projects.

Responsibilities of the Role
* To prepare effective project plans to include project objectives, timescales, milestones, resources and budgets which are compliant with the project management procedures.
* To manage the execution of project plans, issues, risks, change and resources to deliver outcomes to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget.
* Ensure all projects assigned and work undertaken within is compliant with current product/process development and project management procedures.
* Oversee the coordination of all project related activities.
* Lead and coordinate the design and planning of projects as assigned.
* Work with the project lead and project sponsor to deliver the assigned project objectives according to the agreed project plan.
* Provide support as required to the project teams and project steering groups.
* Ensure effective communication of goals and timelines within the project team, project steering groups and key stakeholders.
* Monitor project progress and provide formal reports to senior management on a monthly basis or other intervals as required.
* Assess, manage and monitor project risks, issues and change ensuring the implementation of an appropriate agreed response where necessary.
* Monitor project expenditure to match available budget and to ensure value for money. Highlight potential budget overspend.
* Liaise and communicate with key customers, collaborators, consultants and stakeholders on project related activities.
* Manage external suppliers to ensure delivery of external project objectives.
* Support the training and development of staff in the use of project management methods and tools.
* Where appropriate develop new processes, practices, structures, tools and documentation to support operational and strategic objectives.
* Conduct all duties in compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to management of the project portfolio, ensuring new ideas are reviewed and coordinating assignment of projects within PM team.
* Contribute to Departmental future project planning, resource profiling and budgeting.
* Support Life Cycle Management processes and activities.
* Perform any duties as reasonably requested from the company from time to time

Education / Experience
* 3 years project management experience inbiotechnology or engineering.
* Good knowledge of methodologies and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
* Knowledge of appropriate IT packages such as MS Project and MS Office applications.
* Experience supporting collaborative partners and consultants
* Experience delivering project management training to a diverse audience.
* Experience of organising and chairing meetings.
