Reporting to the Programme Manager – the role will require the Planner to work with the other members of the Design & Delivery Teams to develop, monitor & maintain as-built programmes. Help to ensure both the operational & commercial members of the team are fully appraised to the critical activities & risks of the respective projects at all times, & will be required to work closely with the commercial department for cost loading & resource loading of programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare programmes with the Programme Manager and Operational Manager for the
  • Delivery Team following requirements.
  • Liaise with Delivery Teams to ensure consistency of key assumptions on
  • Methodology and outputs etc.
  • Identify opportunity and risk during the programming process.
  • Maintain weekly updates of project programmes.
  • Gather and collate progress information and reasons for any deviations.
  • Monitor changes to the Construction Drawings and Quantities and feed this into the
  • Current and future programmes accordingly.
  • Attend parcel meetings to gather programme update information
  • Report any planning issues to the programme manager.
  • Analyse/record design changes from initial construction issue drawings
  • Plan weekly site activities with the Operational Manager and the delivery team.
  • Obtain feedback from the Operational Manager and the site teams on planning
  • Adequacy and current customer requirements.
  • Assist in the management of planning software within IOS.
  • Assist in maintaining planning standards across IOS.
  • Complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe
  • working practices
  • Ensure Personal H&S & MTRA are completed and valid
  • Ensure near misses are recorded
  • Carry out ad hoc risk assessment as necessary

Key Experiences/Skills:

  • A site-based engineering background would be preferable.
  • Experience in one or more of civils, water, wastewater or M&E.
  • Knowledge of current HSE requirements.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to use planning software.
  • Ability to interrogate/take information from drawings.
