First People Solutions are currently looking for a Finite Element Analysis Consultant to work with our client in Belgium for the next 14 months.

The Company

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing medical device company who manufacture innovative life-saving products. They are looking to add one more FEA Consultant to their growing team to work on these products.

It is a vibrant office full of motivated individuals who genuinely enjoy the work that they do. You will join a team of 5 other FEA Consultants who all perform simulations for clients.

The Role

  • Setup computational analyses based on the customer’s needs
  • Generate geometrical models of cardiovascular medical devices and patient’s anatomies
  • Model the interaction between a medical device and a patient’s anatomy
  • Analyze the fatigue life of a medical device using simulations
  • Optimize the design and material of a medical device
  • Generate technical reports for specific purposes (R&D, regulatory file preparation, production of marketing material, scientific publication)
  • Contribute to increase the know-how of the engineering consulting unit (e.g. by building a dedicated simulation toolkit)
  • Document the consultancy activity to comply with the Quality Management System

Experience we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience (or PhD) in Finite Element Analysis using Abaqus
  • Experience with programming
  • Team player
  • Problem-solving attitude and respect for deadlines
  • Analytical skills, creativity and logical thinking Fluent in English
