Every year, FPS raise thousands for charities across the UK with our monthly Fun Fridays and various other collections.  This Easter, we decided to do an Easter egg collections in our Glasgow office for a local charity.

The Glasgow team managed to collect a total of 79 chocolate eggs for the Glasgow Care Foundation.  This charity works in Glasgow and helps vulnerable people living in poverty by offering practical and emotional support.  Relationships & Administration Coordinator, Elaine, said this of the donation:

“Glasgow Care Foundation was established in 1874.  It supported the poorest people of Glasgow before the NHS and the Welfare State were established.  Fast forward to 145 years later and sadly our work and aim is still the same!  In 2019, shockingly there is over 37,000 children living in poverty. We continue to support families and individuals with basic household goods and supermarket gift cards to buy food.

This Easter we are so grateful to First People Solutions who donated Easter Eggs to us.  We will distribute the eggs to families in the days leading up to Easter. The children and young people we support will be pleased with their Easter treats and I’m sure there will be lots of smiles to be seen as a result.”

The Easter treats donated by FPS were given to a local youth group in the north of the city and to health visiting teams operating in South and East Glasgow.  We were pleased to hear that our donations helped brighten the days of so many children and young people in our home city.

First People Solutions have donated over £800 to charities in the past 6 months.  We’ve also held two collections of present/treat donations for Christmas and Easter.
